Elegance. History. Charm.

Bridgewater Hall is the oldest home in Burke County, first built in 1781. The property is located along, what is now, the Old Catawba River. The 4,700 sq.ft. house sits on nearly five acres of land and is on the National Registry Study list for historic places. Main House & Grounds

While staying at the Inn, guests have access to other historical rooms and the surrounding grounds. Inside the main house, fresh florals and European antiques make our library, dining room and living room a romantic and intimate setting for guest to unwind, visit or read.

On the grounds there are many great areas for a morning stroll and private reflection. Walk along the river’s edge, relax in the gazebo or in a rocking chair found on one of our wrap around porches. Lounge in our rustic stone courtyard or tour our quaint Chapel. Escape from the city life on the covered deck overlooking the rushing river or relax outside on one of our hammock or beautifully situated benches. The river is a great place to catch and release fish. Or just bring a chair down and listen to the relaxing sound of nature while the water rushes over the stones.
