Designer Michael Gavin has a long history in design and home improvement. He began his career at Mayfair Design Group, Albany, New York, as one of their youngest designers. He went on to work for Portfolio Design Studio where he became their nationally recognized top decorator. Michael soon became the studio’s national spokesperson conducting seminars throughout the United States. Many of his projects and ideas were featured in regional and national magazines including Ladies Home Journal. It was during this period that Michael really fine-tuned his renovation skills by purchasing and refurbishing homes in his spare time.
Michael craves the energy, challenge and satisfaction in finding a distressed property and turning it around. Once he found and subsequently purchased Bridgewater Hall Inn, he and his sons, Jeff and Mack, have been diligently preserving, restoring and enhancing it back to its original beauty. The 4,700-square-foot house sits on nearly five acres of land and is on the National Registry Study list for historic places.
Michael’s vision is to restore Bridgewater Hall Historic Inn into a breathtaking oasis for your next overnight get-away.
