The Bridgewater Inn is truly a beautiful historic gem tucked away in a peaceful, yet convenient venue. Such a delight, from the decor, the furnishings, the scenery, the chapel , and the rushing river to the landscaping and intricate details make this a perfect getaway! Furthermore, Michael, the most passionate host, pours his heart and soul in his efforts to excel above and beyond his duty to assure the satisfaction of his guests. I would give it a ten out of five stars!!!

Bridgewater Hall is beautifully designed and comfortable. The staff is kind and considerate. Little touches such as flowers in the room and other amenities make this property special. If you are a Bluegrass fan (as we are) Bridgewater Hall's location is central to some of the most authentic and fun venues such as the Drexel Barbershop and the Sims Country Barbecue. We plan to stay at Bridgewater again.

The property is very relaxing and a great place to come to step back to a time before cell phones and connectivity. My wife and I came for a long weekend to get away from the hectic pace of life with a career and family. We had a wonderful time. Lots to explore and discover on the property. With some great vineyards close by and good restaurants and shops in downtown Morganton we had lots to do. We will definitely come back and will highly recommend to others.

A very cool place for a getaway. You can feel the charm when viewing the house and walking the surrounding grounds. But the charm doesn’t stop when you enter this beautiful home. As a historian, I loved the unique, charming features of this 18th century property. We stayed in the king room on the first floor which was large and lovely, the bed very comfortable. I also loved the small cozy library on the property. Michael was an exceptionally friendly and helpful host. The Inn is in a great location to tour the area and Michael gave us great recommendations. Bridgewater was a quiet, relaxing place to stay in the country but near everything we wanted to see. Loved it and will be back- Thanks Michael!

Michael was an excellent host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan on returning when we can stay longer. With his fantastic sense of design Michael has worked wonders on this beautiful house. All the rooms are tastefully decorated, cozy and quaint, transporting you to an entirely different era. However, they also have modern touches such as gas fireplaces and updated bathrooms for convenience and comfort. Wonderful place to stay, we enjoyed it much more than a hotel! Circa 1781. Sray at the Gateway to the Mountains in the oldest house in Burke County. A piece of NC history. Lovingly restored and tastfully decorated. Additions to the house include the original country store and a gazebo overlooking the river. So much to do wtihin an hour from here too. Enjoy the restful tranquility of a bygone era in the Bridgewater Hall Historic Inn. You'll be glad you did.
